Today’s homily: Monday in the Octave of Corpus Christi (2025)

Today, in the Octave of Corpus Christi, we honour Christ’s Real Presence in the Eucharist while commemorating the Vigil of St John the Baptist, the great Forerunner. St Paul warns us to receive worthily, discerning the Body of the Lord, while St John calls us to prepare our hearts with humility and repentance. As John leapt in the womb before the hidden Christ, so must we approach the altar with reverence, that Christ may truly abide in us, and we in Him.
