Today’s homily: Pentecost Friday (2025)

On Pentecost Ember Friday, the Church invites us to deepen our reception of the Holy Ghost's gifts—especially Knowledge, Piety, and Fear of the Lord. Knowledge enlightens us to see creation rightly in light of eternity. Piety moves us to love God as Father and worship Him with reverence. Fear of the Lord grounds all virtue in holy awe before God's majesty. These gifts sanctify the soul, making it a true dwelling place of the Spirit.
