Today’s homily: St Augustine of Canterbury (2025)

Today, May 28, we celebrate St Augustine of Canterbury, Apostle of the English, whose mission in 597 brought the Gospel to England. His feast this year coincides with Rogation Wednesday and the Vigil of the Ascension, uniting themes of prayer, penance, and apostolic mission. Sent by St Gregory the Great, Augustine preached with humility and courage. His legacy urges us to rekindle the Catholic faith in our own land.
