Today’s homily: St Basil the Great (2025)

Today’s Mass honours St. Basil the Great, bishop, theologian, and defender of life and truth. He opposed heresy, served the poor, and upheld the dignity of every person. This Mass is offered for the defeat of Amendments NC1 and NC20 to the Criminal Justice Bill, which would legalise abortion up to birth. Like Basil, we must speak boldly for life, uphold sound doctrine, and be true disciples of Christ—salt that has not lost its savour. St. Basil, pray for England.
