Today’s homily: St Bernardine of Siena [2025]

St Bernardine of Siena, fearless preacher and lover of the Holy Name, chose Christ over comfort, penance over prestige. Today’s readings mirror his life: a man unblemished, who could have sinned and did not, who left all to follow Christ and gained eternal glory. In an age of blasphemy and greed, we too must honour Jesus’ Name, reject worldly treasures, and follow Him wholly. May Bernardine’s zeal and purity inspire us to be saints in our time.
