Today’s homily: St Philip Neri (2025)

St. Philip Neri, the joyful Apostle of Rome, exemplified divine Wisdom and vigilant charity. Born to nobility, he renounced wealth for a life of prayer, founding the Oratory and drawing souls to Christ through humility and joy. Today, on Rogation Monday, we honour his burning love and readiness for the Lord, and we beg God’s mercy upon our land and hearts. With Philip, let us ask: “Brothers, when shall we begin to do good?” May our lamps be lit and our souls watchful.
