Today’s homily: The Seven Sorrows of the BVM (2025)
On Passion Friday, the Church honors Our Lady’s Compassion—her co-suffering with Christ during His Passion. Mary’s sorrow was not passive grief, but active participation in Redemption, making her the model of redemptive suffering. Her Seven Sorrows form a spiritual school, teaching us to offer our trials with Christ. As Passiontide deepens, we are called to stand with Mary at the Cross, learning from her how to love, suffer, and hope in union with Christ crucified.
