Today’s homily: Trinity Sunday (2025)

On Trinity Sunday, the Church invites us not to solve a puzzle, but to adore the mystery of God: one in essence, three in Persons. St Paul exclaims the depth of God’s wisdom, while Christ reveals the indwelling of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost in the soul that loves Him. A scene from Monsignor Quixote shows the limits of analogy and the necessity of reverence. The Trinity is best encountered in the liturgy, where we worship, not explain. Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto.
